YOAKUM - Emilia Orsak, 100, of Yoakum, died Sunday, May 14, 2006.
She was born Oct. 6, 1905, in DeWitt County, to the late Paul and Mary Barnec. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Survivors: daughter, Margie Tanner Price of Hallettsville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by: husband, John Orsak; an infant daughter; an infant son; sisters, Antonia Kubena, Rosie Slovacek, and Emma Uhlar; and brothers, John Barnec, Paul Barnec, and Joe Barnec.
Visitation was 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel, Yoakum.
A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the chapel.
Services were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Father John Peters officiating.
Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.
Pallbearers: Ricky Driskell, Robert R. Orsak, Jeffrey Rutledge, James Evans, Gary King, Freddie Barnec.
